Prints from Young Blood, Old Shot are now available to purhcase

youngshot:

as well as a zine archiving the show and some new releases!

You can grab a print of one of my photographs from the Young Blood, Old Shot show! They’ve also got a zine of the show and a few other publications that look great!

The NYT Portfolio Review was on Sunday. It was amazing. Seeing as it’s free to apply and attend, everyone should consider applying next year. Probably the most important thing that’s happened to me in the past few months, has already changed my outlook on photography and what I need to be doing and how I should be doing that.

Messing around with an old Sony digital camera I have. Have a ton of stuff I’ve collected while on my walks that I want to use for still life and some 10+ year old film to play around with.

Plastic Bags in Tree
Catskill, NY. January 2014.
From the in progress series RIP
Currently sitting on 30+ rolls of film that need to be developed. My lab goes on vacation the week of March 31st so I’m waiting to mail it all out until I get back from NYC on the 11th - hopefully I’ll be sending out close to 45 rolls. Will be starting to work on the design of the Welcome To Flint newsprint within the next week - currently a little busy getting prints ready for a group exhibition put together by Gallery Carte Blanche in San Francisco!
You can check that out here. Also will hopefully have a mailing list up soon. Unfortunately, I’m probably waiting to print uneven ground, my zine of photos in NYC from October, until I pick up a laser printer; the inkjet just isn’t cost effective and the paper I bought to use is too thin to print on both sides with inkjet.

Flint, MI. November 2013.
I think this is the last portrait I took in the last few months (up until this past week). I just lost the spark that pushed me to make portraits. Thankfully this trip to Flint and the slowly oncoming spring is pushing me back into making portraits. I didn’t make a ton this time around but I do think I made a really beautiful one of a man at a bus stop.I went through more than 10 rolls of film and talked to some people with stories to tell though.

Very excited to be a part of the Young Blood, Old Shot exhibition put together by Young Shot and On Point. It’ll be up the 27th thru the 30th of March at the Doomed Gallery in Dalston, London. Check it out if you’re nearby!

And Draft 11 is less than a day away from finishing their Kickstarter! Check it out, chip in, and enjoy what should be an excellent photography publication and exhibition!

Some work in progress & sketches/ideas from the past few months for my series RIP.

You should check out and back Draft 11! Only 3 days left on their Kickstarter, it’s sure to be a quality publication!

Screenshots of something I put together over the past week and a half, should be announced sometime in the near future! 2nd screenshot has the image inverted just for fun, I always find the colors interesting. Excited about it as making a sequence in that short of a time span was a bit different for me.

Also, you should check out the Draft 11 and consider backing their project! They’ve already hit their goal, so anything else helps them produce a higher quality magazine and exhibition!
